Use: Medicinal

Actions and indications: Clears heat and resolves toxin; dispels wind and eliminates dampness; cools the blood and stanches bleeding; joins bone. Treats dysentery; diarrhea; wind-damp impediment (fēng shī bì) pain; coughing of blood; inverted menstruation (vicarious menstruation).

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (1.5–3g). Topical: Apply crushed.
