Use: Medicinal

Properties: Bitter; cold.

Actions and indications: Quickens the blood and disperses stasis; eliminates dampness, disperses swelling. Treats bone fractures; injury from knocks and falls; rheumatic lumbar and thigh pain; swelling of welling-abscesses (yōng), boils, and sores; common cold; painful swollen throat.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g). Topical: Apply crushed or grind and apply mixed.
