Properties: Bitter and acrid; slightly warm.

Channel entry: Liver, kidney, and spleen channels.

Actions and indications: Frees the network vessels and moves the blood; eliminates dampness and dispels wind.* Treats injury from knocks and falls; pain wind; welling- and flat-abscesses (yōng jū); amenorrhea.*

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g dried, 90–120g fresh).
