Properties: Acrid, bitter, and astringent; warm; toxic.

Actions and indications: Dispels wind; disperses stasis; resolves toxin; kills worms. Treats wind-damp joint pain; blood stasis; amenorrhea; injury from knocks and falls; toxin swellings and malign sores; scab (jiè) and lichen (xiǎn).

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g). Topical: Decoct as a wash or apply crushed.

Production area: Guǎngdōng, Guǎngxī, Táiwān, Fújiàn, Sìchuān, Yúnnán.
