Properties: Sweet; balanced

Channel entry: Liver channel.

Indications:

• Nourishes the blood and calms the liver: Blood vacuity and liver effulgence; yīn vacuity and yáng hyperactivity.
• Nourishes yīn and checks sweating: Yin vacuity tidal heat and night sweating.

  Dosage & Method: Oral: 6–10g.

  Notes: This is the seed coat of either the wild soybean 野料豆 or the regular black soybean, 黑大豆, modern authorities leaning toward the latter.
