Actions and indications:
- Moistens the lung and relieves cough: Lung heat or lung dryness cough; diphtheria.
- Engenders liquid and allays thirst: Summerheat-heat damage to liquid. Can also be used for
intestinal dryness constipation and acute gastritis.
Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (15–30g) or 1–2 fruits, decocted or steeped in hot water.
Warnings: Use with care in external contractions and lung cold cough.
Production area: Guǎngdōng, Guǎngxī, and Jiāngxī.
