Use: Medicinal

Properties: Bitter and acrid*; warm*.

Actions and indications: Courses wind, dispels dampness, warms the center, and disperses stasis. Treats common cold; malarial disease; wind-damp impediment (fēng shī bì) pain; stomach pain; injury from knocks and falls.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g root or bark, 30–60g leaf). apply crushed.
