水虾子草 〔水蝦子草〕 shuǐ xiā zǐ cǎo

Use: Medicinal

Properties: Bland or sweet and acrid; cold or balanced; nontoxic.

Actions and indications: Expels stasis; disperses swelling; resolves toxin; disinhibits urine. Treats injury from knocks and falls; swelling of welling- and flat-abscesses (yōng jū) and clove sores (dīng); strangury.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (30–60g fresh) or char and steep in wine.
