Properties: Sweet^✽; balanced^✽; nontoxic.^✽

Actions and indications: Clears heat and disperses swelling; disinhibits water and frees strangury. Treats eye pain due to wind-heat; toxin swelling of welling- and flat-abscesses (yōng jū); vaginal discharge; strangury; dysentery; diarrhea.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g dried, 30–60g fresh). Topical: Apply crushed or apply juiced extracted by crushing.
