Use: Medicinal

Properties: Slightly bitter and acrid^✽; warm.^✽

Actions and indications: Dispels wind and dampness; moves qì and quickens the blood. Treats wind-damp impediment (fēng shī bì) pain; stomach and duodenal ulcers; acute and chronic gastroenteritis; menstrual pain; postpartum abdominal pain; injury from knocks and falls.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g), grind to a powder or steep in wine. Topical: Apply crushed.
