Properties: Acrid and slightly bitter; warm.

Actions and indications: Moves qì, quickens the blood, disperses stasis, and relieves pain. Treats acute gastroenteritis; chronic gastritis; stomach and duodenal ulcers; wind-damp bone pain; menstrual pain; postpartum stasis and stagnation; injury from knocks and falls; knife wounds.

Production area: Guǎngxī, Guǎngdōng.
