    Indications:

    • Quickens the blood and relieves pain: Wind-damp impediment (fēng shī bì) pain; injuries from knock and falls.
    • Stanches bleeding: vomiting of blood (blood ejection); nosebleed; bleeding from external injury.
    • Resolves toxin and engenders flesh: welling- and flat-abscesses and sores; scrofula.

      Dosage & Method:

      Oral: Use in pills and powders (3–6g); do not decoct. Topical: Grind to a powder and sprinkle on or apply mixed; can also be prepared as a paste.
