Properties: Acrid and bitter; warm.

Actions and indications: Dispels wind-cold, disperses accumulation and stagnation, frees the channels and the network vessels. Treats cold pain in the abdomen and stomach duct; food accumulation; dysphagia-occlusion (yē gé); stomach pain; profuse sweating due to weak constitution; common cold and cough; wind-damp leg qì (jiǎo qì).
