Indications:
- Stanches bleeding: vomiting of blood (blood ejection); nosebleed (nǜ xuè); bloody stool; flooding; vaginal discharge.
- Transforms accumulations and checks diarrhea: Food accumulation; diarrhea.
- Also used for mouth and tongue sores.
Dosage & Method:
Oral: Use in pills or powders (0.9–1.5g). Topical: Grind and apply wet or dry.

The best quality is light in weight, fine in texture, black in color and does not contain any extraneous matter.
