Properties: Bitter; cold; slightly toxic.
Channel entry: heart, liver, and large intestine channels.
Indications:
- Cools the blood and stanches bleeding: Vomiting of blood (blood ejection); nosebleed; bloody stool flooding and spotting.
- Kills works and treats lichen:
scab (jiè) and lichen (xiǎn). - Frees the stool (mild draining precipitant): constipation.
Dosage & Method:
Oral: Decoct (10–15g), extract juice, or prepare as a paste. Topical: Apply crushed.
Warning:
Unsuitable for spleen vacuity cold with sloppy stool.
Product Area:
Rumex nepalensis is found in the western China, while Rumex japonicus is found in central and eastern China.
