山小橘 〔山小橘〕 shān xiǎo jú

Origin in unofficial sources: Glycosmis citrifolia (Willd.) Lindl.

Use: Medicinal

Properties: Slightly bitter and acrid*; balanced*.

Actions and indications: Dispels wind and resolves the exterior; transforms phlegm; disperses accumulations; disperses stasis. Treats common cold; cough; food accumulation; abdominal pain; mounting qì (shàn qì) pain; injury from knocks and falls; stasis swelling; frostbite.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–24g). Topical: Decoct as a wash, or apply fresh leaf crushed.
