Properties: Bitter*; cold*.

Actions and indications: Clear heat and disinhibits dampness; cools blood and resolves toxin. Treats heat cough; consumption cough; phlegm streaked with blood; jaundice; dysentery; stomach pain; bloody stool; puerperal heat effusion; child fright wind; gān accumulation; toxin of clove sores and other sores; scalds.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g). Topical: Crush.
