Use: Medicinal

Properties: Bitter*; cold*.

Actions and indications: Drains liver-gallbladder repletion fire; clears damp-heat; settles cough; and fortifies the stomach. Treats common cold and heat effusion; red eyes; painful pharynx;meningitis; pneumonia; cough; gastritis; painful urination; genital itch; scrotal eczema.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (3–9g).
