Use: Medicinal

Properties: Bitter*; cold*; highly toxic*.

Actions and indications: Disperses swellings, relieves pain, and joins bone. Treats toxin swelling of clove sores (dīng); injury from knocks and falls and bone fractures.

Dosage and method: Topical: Steep in wine to make an embrocation, boil to a paste, decoct as a wash, or apply crushed.

Warnings: Oral consumption contraindicated.
