Actions and indications: Clears heat and relieves toxin. Treats common cold; acute enteritis; dysentery; pyelonephritis; cinnabar toxin (erysipelas); swollen welling-abscesses (yōng zhǒng); scalds; wound infections; ulceration of the lower leg; atrophic rhinitis.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (6–9g dried, 15–30g fresh). Topical: Decoct as a wash.

Production area: Guǎngdōng, Guǎngxī, Fújiàn, Húnán, Guìzhōu, Yúnnán.
