Properties: Bitter and acrid; cool; toxic*.

Actions and indications: Joins bone, relieves pain, and interrupts malaria. Treats bone fractures; injury from knocks and falls; wind-damp pain; malarial disease.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g), steep in wine, or grind to a powder. Topical: Apply crushed.
