Use: Medicinal

Properties: Bitter and acrid*; warm*.

Actions and indications: Joins bone; disperses stasis; eliminates wind and dampness; courses wind and resolves the exterior; moves qì; relieves pain; interrupts malaria; kills worms. Treats painful swellings and bone fractures from injury from knocks and falls; wind-damp bone pain; influenza; malarial disease; abdominal pain.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (15–30g), steep in wine, or use in powders. Topical: Apply wine-fried.
