Actions and indications: Dispels wind-damp, frees the network vessels, and relieves pain. Treats wind-damp impediment (fēng shī bì) pain; injury from knocks and falls.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (10–15g); steep in liquor to make medicinal wine.

Warnings: Contraindicated in yīn vacuity with heat and for patients with kidney disease as biomedically defined. Do not exceed prescribed doses or use for extended periods.

Production area: Yangtze basin, Hénán, Shāndōng, and Shǎnxī (Shaanxi).
