Alternate Chinese names: 舒肝和脾丸

Ingredients:

• Huáng lián (黄连 Coptidis Rhizoma, coptis [root]) 150g
• Wú zhū yú (吴茱萸 Evodiae Fructus, evodia [fruit]) 150g
• Bái sháo (白芍 Paeoniae Radix Alba, white peony [root]) 150g

Action: Clears heat and transforms dampness; relaxes tension and relieves pain.

Indication: Stomach pain, acid vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.

Category: Heat-clearing formulas / Bowel and visceral heat-clearing formula

Method: Grind to a powder and blend with flour and water to make pills. 9 gr twice a day.

Notes: The 5th and 6th heavenly stems denote earth, i.e., the spleen, which this formula treats.
