Category: Exterior-resolving formulas / Warm acrid exterior-resolving formulas
Method: Decoct with water.
Rationale: Xiāng fù rectifies qì and resolves depression. Zǐ sū yè is aromatic, acrid, and warm; it not only courses wind and disperses cold but also rectifies qì and harmonizes the center. Its exterior-resolving action is enhanced by Xiāng fù. These two agents therefore address root and tip.
