Ingredients:

• Chì sháo (赤芍 Paeoniae Radix Rubra, red peony [root]) 3g
• Chái hú (柴胡 Bupleuri Radix, bupleurum [root]) 3g
• Dāng guī (当归 Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Chinese angelica) 3g
• Bái zhú (白朮 Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, white atractylodes [root]) 3g
• Fú líng (茯苓 Poria , poria) 3g
• Dān pí (丹皮 Moutan Cortex, moutan [bark]) 2g
• Shān zhī zǐ (山栀子 Gardeniae Fructus, gardenia [fruit]) 2g
• Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) 1–5.2g
• Shēng jiāng (生姜 Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, fresh ginger) 1g
• Bò hé (薄荷 Menthae Herba, mint) 1g

Action:

Indication: Depressed liver with blood vacuity transforming into heat and fire with vexation, agitation, and irascibility, spontaneous sweating or night sweating, headache, dry eyes, red cheeks and thirst; or menstrual irregularities with lesser abdominal pain, or sagging distension in the smaller abdomen, and rough urination. Tongue: red with yellow fur. Pulse: stringlike and rapid.
