Alternate Chinese names: Shēng jī bái yù gāo (生肌白玉膏 Flesh-Engendering White Jade Plaster)

Ingredients

• Niào jìn shí gāo (尿浸石膏 Gypsum Urina Madidum, urine-soaked gypsum) 9 parts
• Lú gān shí (炉甘石 Calamina , calamine) (processed) 1 part

Actions: Moistens the skin, engenders flesh, and promote contraction.

Indications: Ulceration after elimination of putrid flesh and prior to closing of the wound.

Method: Soak cooked gypsum in urine for 6 months, long-rinse (macerate) for 2 months, and calcine. Blend with the calamine, and mix in sesame oil to form a paste. Mix with Vaseline (3 parts powder to 7 parts oil/Vaseline).
