Ingredients

• Chái hú (柴胡 Bupleuri Radix, bupleurum [root]) 12g
• Bàn xià (半夏 Pinelliae Rhizoma, pinellia [rhizome]) 6–9g
• Huáng qín (黄芩 Scutellariae Radix, scutellaria [root]) 4.5g
• Shēng jiāng (生姜 Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, fresh ginger) 4.5g
• Sān qī (三七 Notoginseng Radix, notoginseng [root]) 4.5g
• Guì zhī (桂枝 Cinnamomi Ramulus, cinnamon twig) 4.5g
• Chì sháo (赤芍 Paeoniae Radix Rubra, red peony [root]) 4.5g
• Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) 3g
• Dà zǎo (大枣 Jujubae Fructus, jujube) 6 pieces

Actions: Harmonizes and resolves the lesser yáng (shào yáng); resolves the flesh and effuses the exterior.

Indications: Greater yáng and lesser yáng combination disease with heat effusion, slight aversion to cold, joint pain, mild retching, and oppressive distension below the heart.
