Ingredients:
- Chái hú (柴胡 Bupleuri Radix, bupleurum [root]) 12g
- Bàn xià (半夏 Pinelliae Rhizoma, pinellia [rhizome]) 6–9g
- Huáng qín (黄芩 Scutellariae Radix, scutellaria [root]) 4.5g
- Shēng jiāng (生姜 Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, fresh ginger) 4.5g
- Rén shēn (人参 Ginseng Radix, ginseng) 4.5g
- Guì zhī (桂枝 Cinnamomi Ramulus, cinnamon twig) 4.5g
- Sháo yào (芍药 Paeoniae Radix, peony [root]) 4.5g
- Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) 3g
- Dà zǎo (大枣 Jujubae Fructus, jujube) 6 pieces
Action: Harmonizes and resolves the lesser yáng (shào yáng); resolves the flesh and effuses the exterior.
Indication: Greater yáng and lesser yáng combination disease with heat effusion, slight aversion to cold, joint pain, mild retching, and oppressive distension below the heart.
