Phlegm-Flushing Decoction
涤痰汤 〔滌痰湯〕dí tán tāng

Ingredients:
- Bàn xià (半夏 Pinelliae Rhizoma, pinellia [rhizome]) 6.6g
- Jú hóng (橘红 Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Rubrum, red tangerine peel) 6g
- Fú líng (茯苓 Poria , poria) 6g
- Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) 1.2g
- Zhǐ shí (枳实 Aurantii Fructus Immaturus, unripe bitter orange) 6g
- Zhú rú (竹茹 Bambusae Caulis in Taenia, bamboo shavings) 2.1g
- Nán xīng (南星 Arisaematis Rhizoma, arisaema [root]) 6.6g
- Shí chāng pú (石菖蒲 Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma, acorus [root]) 3g
- Rén shēn (人参 Ginseng Radix, ginseng) 3g
- Shēng jiāng (生姜 Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, fresh ginger) 3g
Action: Dispels phlegm and opens the orifices.
Indication: Wind stroke with phlegm clouding the heart spirit, and a stiff tongue preventing speech.

Method: Decoct with water.
