Mulberry Root Bark Decoction
桑白皮汤 〔桑白皮湯〕sāng bái pí tāng

Ingredients:
- Sāng bái pí (桑白皮 Mori Cortex, mulberry bark) 9g
- Bàn xià (半夏 Pinelliae Rhizoma, pinellia [rhizome]) 9g
- Sū zǐ (苏子 Perillae Fructus, perilla fruit) 9g
- Xìng rén (杏仁 Armeniacae Semen, apricot kernel) 9g
- Bèi mǔ (贝母 Fritillariae Bulbus, fritillaria [bulb]) 9g
- Huáng qín (黄芩 Scutellariae Radix, scutellaria [root]) 9g
- Huáng lián (黄连 Coptidis Rhizoma, coptis [root]) 6g
- Shān zhī (山栀 Gardeniae Fructus, gardenia [fruit]) 9g
Action: Clears the lung and downbears qì; transforms phlegm and relieves cough.
Indication: Cough and panting due to phlegm turbidity causing internal obstruction and transforming into heat.
