Source: Hé Jì Jú Fāng 和剂局方

Ingredients:

• Huái jiǎo (槐角 Sophorae Fructus, sophora fruit) 40g
• Fáng fēng (防风 Saposhnikoviae Radix, saposhnikovia) 20g
• Zhǐ ké (qiào) (枳壳 Aurantii Fructus, bitter orange) (stir-fried with bran) 20g
• Dì yú (地榆 Sanguisorbae Radix, sanguisorba [root]) 20g
• Dāng guī (当归 Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Chinese angelica) (steeped in wine and stone-baked) 20g
• Huáng qín (黄芩 Scutellariae Radix, scutellaria [root]) 20g

Action: Cools the blood and stanches bleeding.

Indication: Bloody stool, and bleeding from hemorrhoids. Tongue: Red. Pulse: Stringlike and rapid.

Method: Grind to a powder, blend with wine, and form into 100 mg. Pills.

Dosage: 10 pills twice a day.
