Source: Xiǎo ér Zhí Jué 小儿直诀

Ingredients

• Bái zhú (白朮 Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, white atractylodes [root]) 4g
• Fú líng (茯苓 Poria , poria) 4g
• Gé gēn (葛根 Puerariae Radix, pueraria [root]) 4g
• Sān qī (三七 Notoginseng Radix, notoginseng [root]) 3g
• Mù xiāng (木香 Aucklandiae Radix, costusroot) 1g
• Huò xiāng (藿香 Pogostemonis Herba, patchouli) 1g
• Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) 1g

Indications: Enduring spleen-stomach vacuity, internal wear on fluids, frequent vomiting and diarrhea, vexation and thirst with large fluid intake.

Method: Grind to a rough powder and decoct 9 gr with water.

Variations: For severe thirst remove the Mù xiāng (木香 Aucklandiae Radix, costusroot) and increase the Gé gēn (葛根 Puerariae Radix, pueraria [root]) up to 15g.
