Stream-Reducing Pill
缩泉丸 〔縮泉丸〕 suō quán wán
Source: Fù Rén Liáng Fāng 妇人良方
Ingredients
- Wū yào (乌药 Linderae Radix, lindera [root]) 9–12g
- Yì zhì rén (益智仁 Alpiniae Oxyphyllae Fructus, alpinia [fruit]) 9–12g
- Shān yào (山药 Dioscoreae Rhizoma, dioscorea [root]) 9–12g
Actions: Warms the spleen and kidney; reduces urine.
Indications: Kidney vacuity with frequent urination or enuresis. Tongue: Pale with white fur. Pulse: Sunken and weak.
Category: Astringing formulas / Essence-astringing essence enuresis-checking formulas
Method: Grind to a powder, boil to a paste, and form into small pills.
Dosage: 6g at a time.
Notes: This is effectively the same formula as Sān xiān wán (三仙丸 Three Immortals Pill).
