- Yīng sù ké (qiào) (罂粟壳 Papaveris Pericarpium, poppy husk) 6–9g
- Wǔ wèi zǐ (五味子 Schisandrae Fructus, schisandra [berry]) 3–6g
- Wū méi (乌梅 Mume Fructus, mume [fruit]) 3–6g
- Bèi mǔ (贝母 Fritillariae Bulbus, fritillaria [bulb]) 6–9g
- Kuǎn dōng huā (款冬花 Farfarae Flos, coltsfoot) 6–9g
- Sāng bái pí (桑白皮 Mori Cortex, mulberry bark) 6–9g
- Rén shēn (人参 Ginseng Radix, ginseng) (or Shā shēn (沙参 Adenophorae seu Glehniae Radix, adenophora/glehnia [root])) 6–9g
- ē jiāo (阿胶 Asini Corii Colla, ass hide glue) 6–9g
- Jié gěng (桔梗 Platycodonis Radix, platycodon [root]) 3–6g
Action: Constrains the lung and relieves cough; supplements qì and nourishes yīn.
