- Xī hé liǔ (西河柳 Tamaricis Cacumen, tamarisk [twig and leaf]) 6g
- Jīng jiè (荆芥 Schizonepetae Herba, schizonepeta) 5g
- Dàn zhú yè (淡竹叶 Lophatheri Herba, lophatherum) 2g
- Niú bàng zǐ (牛蒡子 Arctii Fructus, arctium [seed]) 5g
- Gé gēn (葛根 Puerariae Radix, pueraria [root]) 5g
- Chán tuì (蝉蜕 Cicadae Periostracum, cicada molting) 3g
- Bò hé (薄荷 Menthae Herba, mint) 3g
- Zhī mǔ (知母 Anemarrhenae Rhizoma, anemarrhena [root]) (mix-fried) 3g
- Xuán shēn (玄参 Scrophulariae Radix, scrophularia [root]) 6g
- Mài dōng (麦冬 Ophiopogonis Radix, ophiopogon [root]) 9g
- Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) 3g
Action: Outthrust papules and resolves the exterior; clears heat and nourishes yīn.

Method: Decoct with water.
Rationale: This formula is suitable for case of measles with exuberant internal heat that has caused damage to yīn, preventing normal eruption. It has a more powerful clearing and outthrusting action than Shēng má gé gēn tāng (升麻葛根汤 Cimicifuga and Pueraria Decoction).
