Ingredients:
- Shú dì huáng (熟地黄 Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata, cooked rehmannia [root]) 40g
- Shān zhū yú (山茱萸 Corni Fructus, cornus [fruit]) 20g
- Shān yào (山药 Dioscoreae Rhizoma, dioscorea [root]) 20g
- Zé xiè (泽泻 Alismatis Rhizoma, alisma [tuber]) 15g
- Dān pí (丹皮 Moutan Cortex, moutan [bark]) 15g
- Fú líng (茯苓 Poria , poria) 15g
- Gǒu qǐ zǐ (枸杞子 Lycii Fructus, lycium [berry]) 15g
- Jú huā (菊花 Chrysanthemi Flos, chrysanthemum [flower]) 10g
Action: Enriches yīn and supplements the kidney; nourishes the liver and brightens the eyes.
Indication: Insufficiency of liver and kidney with dizziness, poor eyesight, dispersion-thirst (xiāo kě), and high blood pressure.

Method: Blend with honey and form into large pills 9g in weight.
Dosage: 1 pills (9g) twice a day.
Rationale: Jú huā courses wind-heat, calms the liver, and brightens the eyes. Gǒu qǐ zǐ supplements yīn and brightens the eyes. These agents combine with those of Liù wèi dì huáng wán (六味地黄丸 Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Pill)to deal with visual disturbances resulting from insufficiency of the liver and kidney.
