Source: Zhèng Zhì Zhǔn Shēng 证治准绳

Ingredients

• Bái jí (白及 Bletillae Rhizoma, bletilla [root])
• Mù fú róng yè (木芙蓉叶 Hibisci Mutabilis Folium, cotton rose leaf)
• Dà huáng (大黄 Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, rhubarb)
• Huáng bǎi (黄柏 Phellodendri Cortex, phellodendron [bark])
• Wǔ bèi zǐ (五倍子 Galla Chinensis, sumac gallnut)

Indications: Welling- and flat-abscesses (yōng jū), boils and other sores.

Method: Grind to a powder, mix with water to form a paste, and apply topically.
