Three Yellows Four Agents Decoction
三黄四物汤 〔三黃四物湯〕sān huáng sì wù tāng

Ingredients:
- Dāng guī (当归 Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Chinese angelica) 6–9g
- Chì sháo (赤芍 Paeoniae Radix Rubra, red peony [root]) 6–9g
- Chuān xiōng (川芎 Chuanxiong Rhizoma, chuanxiong [rhizome]) 6–9g
- Shú dì huáng (熟地黄 Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata, cooked rehmannia [root]) 12–15g
- Huáng lián (黄连 Coptidis Rhizoma, coptis [root]) 1–3g
- Huáng qín (黄芩 Scutellariae Radix, scutellaria [root]) 6–9g
- Dà huáng (大黄 Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, rhubarb) 3–6g
Action: Supplements the blood; drains heart channel fire.
Indication: Heart repletion patterns with heart vexation, insomnia, reddish urine, constipation, and amenorrhea.
