Method: Grind the rougui and zhike(qiao); grind the other ingredients and stir-fry over a low heat, spread out to cool, and then mix with the other two ingredients.

Dosage: 9g at a time, boiled in water and taken warm.

Rationale: Má huáng and Bái zhǐ promote sweating and resolve the exterior. Gān jiāng and Guì zhī warm the center and disperse cold. These four agents together eliminate the cold, treating the root of the five accumulations—cold, food, phlegm, qì, and blood accumulation. Cāng zhú and Hòu pò fortify the spleen and dry dampness, to eliminate the food stagnation. Chén pí and Fǎ bàn xià rectify qì and transform phlegm to treat phlegm accumulation. Jié gěng and zhike restore normal upbearing and downbearing of qì, eliminating qì depression. Dāng guī, Chuān xiōng, and Bái sháo nourish the blood, dispelling blood stasis. Gān cǎo and Gān jiāng harmonize the other agents.
