Source: Shāng Hán Zhí Gé 伤寒直格

Ingredients:

• Huá shí (滑石 Talcum , talcum) 36g
• Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) 6g
• Qīng dài (青黛 Indigo Naturalis , indigo) 10g

Action:

Indication: Summerheat-heat with red eyes and sore throat, or mouth and tongue sores.

Category: Summerheat-dispelling formulas / Summerheat-dispelling dampness-disinhibiting formulas

Method: Grind to a fine powder. Now prepared as decoction.

Notes: This is a Liù yī sǎn (六一散 Six-to-One Powder) with the addition of qingdai, which gives it a pale green jade color.
