寒热 〔寒熱〕 hán rè

1. Cold and heat in the eight-principle sense. Cold and heat represent the yīn and yáng of bodily functions. Cold results from contraction of cold evil or insufficiency of yáng qì; heat results from contraction of heat evil or yīn vacuity.
