Vacuity wind stirring internally
虚风内动 〔虛風內動〕xū fēng nèi dòng
A wind pattern attributable to yīn vacuity or blood vacuity that arises when great sweating, great vomiting, great diarrhea, major loss of blood, or damage to yīn in enduring illness with depletion of the fluids causes desiccation of the blood that deprives the sinews of nourishment and causes insufficiency of liver yīn that leaves yáng unsubdued and allows liver wind to scurry around internally. It may also occur when kidney-water failing to moisten liver-wood causes wind to harass the upper body.
