Pock pimples

痤疿 〔痤疿〕cuó fèi

Sores of varying sizes, the larger of which, called pocks cuó, are between the size of a soybean or a jujube, are red, and contain pus and the smaller of which, called pimples fèi, are small vesicles or pustules. Pock pimples are attributed to lung heat and spleen dampness or summer wind-heat toxin in the skin. Pock pimples of the buttocks are called seat sores.

Biomedical correspondence: furunculosis (multiple furuncles).

Medicinal therapy: Take Coptis Toxin-Resolving Decoction (黄连解毒汤 huáng lián jiě dú tāng) and decoct purslane (Portulacae Herba, 马齿苋 mǎ chǐ xiàn) as a wash.
