Moist formula

One of the ten formula types. A formula containing moist medicinals. Moist [medicinals] can eliminate desiccation. An example of a moist formula is Dryness-Clearing Lung-Rescuing Decoction (清燥救肺汤 qīng zào jiù fèi tāng), which contains, among others, moist medicinals such as ophiopogon (Ophiopogonis Radix, 麦门冬 mài mén dōng), black sesame (Sesami Semen Nigrum, 黑脂麻 hēi zhī má), and apricot kernel (Armeniacae Semen, 杏仁 xìng rén) and treats dryness-heat in the autumn causing cough without phlegm and dry mouth and tongue.
