外科 〔外科〕wài kē
The branch of medicine that deals with sores, knocks and falls, and bone fractures. For a list of external medical diseases, see disease.
Etymology
Chinese: 外 wài, outside, external; 科 kē, department. Note that term is used in Western medicine as the equivalent of the English surgery.
