M-BW-12 Below the Stomach Duct
胃管下俞 〔胃管下俞〕 wèi guǎn xià shū
Channel: Nonchannel point
Modern location: An acupoint located in the middle of the back, 1.5 cùn lateral to the inferior border of the spinous of the eighth thoracic vertebra.
Local anatomy: The medial branches of the posterior ramus of the 8th intercostal artery and vein. The medial subcutaneous branch of the dorsal ramus of the 8th thoracic nerve; deeper, the lateral branch of the dorsal ramus of the 8th thoracic nerve.
Modern indications: Dispersion-thirst; gastric pain; pancreatitis; rib-side pain; cough; dry pharynx;
Needle stimulus: Needling: 0.5‒0.7 cùn oblique inward insertion. Moxa: 5‒7 cones.
